In Pakistan Law Is In The Hand Of Terrorists

By: Muhammad Khurshid

Pakistan is a strange country. In this land of the pure law is only for the poor and rulers are always exempted from the law. Rather the law is being used for keeping the poor terrorized. There was a time when husband of slain leader of Pakistan People's Party was accused of massive corruption, but now all of sudden all corruption cases have been withdrawn. There will be no denying the fact that law is in the hand of terrorists, the enemies of whole humanity.

The Accountability Court has acquitted Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari in all case filed by National Accountability Bureau against him.
Rawalpindi Accountability Court-3 on Friday acquitted Zardari in BMW case and in this way Asif Ali Zardari has been acquitted in all cases filed against him.
Rawalpindi Accountability Court-3 judge Saghir Ahmed passed this order on the ground that no evidence was found in the BMW case against Zardari.

The court quashed the last remaining graft case against Asif Ali Zardari, his lawyer said, removing the final possible hurdle to him standing for prime minister. Zardari was acquitted by the anti-corruption court Rawalpindi, in the last of seven cases that had been hanging over him for more than a decade, lawyer Farooq Naik said. “By the grace of God he has been honorably acquitted. I am very happy today that after a struggle of 11 years the state has failed to prove any cases against Asif Ali Zardari,” Naik told TV channels outside the court.

PPP Senior Vice President Makhdoom Amin Fahim has said that the political chessboard has still been laid. Talking to newsmen In a joint briefing with Jamiatul Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman after meeting between the two leaders, he said the meeting was not a political but a personal one.
A newspaper comment stated that Asif Ali Zardari made a great comeback. Zardari Houses in Karachi , Lahore and in Islamabad have become hubbub of social activity and besieged by the media persons hungry to extract information and record each and every word uttered by Zardari.

Apart from political leaders of all hues, foreign dignitaries too are holding meetings with him on regular basis. Prior to elections, Naudero had become the focal point where again Zardari was the most sought man receiving condolences on Benazir’s assassination. This kind of phenomenal eminence has fallen into his lap twice.

Lady luck smiled on him for the first time when he married Benazir in 1988 and during her second stint in power in 1993-96, he became the main power broker in all the financial and business deals in the country. While he was a liability for his wife and instrumental in bringing a bad name to her because of his demeaning practices, the latter helped him in catapulting his fortunes to dizzying heights. It was Zardari who gave his wife fantastic ideas of accumulating wealth and impressed her in stealthily siphoning off huge amounts to foreign banks without leaving any trace of couple¢s involvement in money laundering racket. Today he is the richest man in the country and commands immense political power as well.
